ABOUT ME

Hello, reader!

My name is Anna Newkirk. I am currently an associate producer for the Washington Commanders.

​

I am the creator and producer of the Get Loud Podcast sponsored by SeatGeek. I also produce The Gameplan which features the head coach of the Commanders and airs on WUSA-9.

​

I started my career with the Commanders as a broadcast media intern following my graduation from the University of Colorado, Boulder (magna cum laude). I was a journalism major and business minor.

While attending college, I was very involved with my school's sports channel, Sko Buffs Sports. I anchored, live tweeted, and helped with media production.

​

In addition to that, I took every opportunity to freelance with ESPN and PAC-12 Network. It was incredible to help with live broadcast production for the NFL and NHL. 

​

Prior to my graduation, I interned in Washington, D.C. in the summer, reporting and tracking homicides for D.C. Witness.
